Privacy Policy
Protection of privacy and the Personal Information Protection Law
Kintetsu Hotel Systems, Inc. strictly enforces the law concerning protection of personal information ("Personal Information Protection Law," legislation no. 57, enacted May 30, 2003) with the goal of protecting the privacy of users of this site. Along with the content of this page, this law serves as the basis for our privacy policy.
Specification of purpose of use and limitations thereof
Customer's names, addresses, telephone numbers and other personal information acquired through reservations, purchases, inquiries, questionnaires, etc., shall be used for no other purposes than for such activities or for other of our services, including direct mailings and e-mailings about products, etc.
Acquisition of proper personal information and notification of the purpose of use of such information during acquisition
- Fraud or other deceptive methods shall not be used to acquire personal information.
- Public announcement of the purpose of use when acquiring personal information shall, if not announced beforehand, be done on the page showing the privacy statement.
- When acquiring personal information from the holder of such information, the purpose of use of such information shall be explained.
Ensuring accuracy of data
Personal data shall be maintained accurately and up-to-date within the scope of necessity for the purpose for which such information is to be used.
Safty mechanisms and monitoring of employees and outsourcing companies
Such safety mechanisms as are necessary and appropriate shall be put in place to ensure the safe management of personal data and such monitoring as is necessary and appropriate shall be conducted of employees and outsourcing companies.
Limitations on provision of personal information to third parties
As a general rule, no provision of personal information to any third party without the consent of the holder of the information shall be performed. Provision to third parties as used here does not include sharing personal information with outsourcing companies, partners, and other specified entities (and when certain provisions regarding such sharing are notified to the holder of the personal information).
Note, however, that personal information may be disclosed or used in the following situations.

Public announcement, disclosure, corrections, termination of use, etc.
- Disclosure of a customer's personal information may only include that customer's data if the customer so demands
- Steps to correct or terminate use of personal data shall be taken upon request by a customer.
- When taking the above steps, presentation of the customer's driver's license or other form of personal identification shall be required.
Use of personal information
Personal information acquired by Miyako Hotels and Resorts is used for the following purposes.
Miyako Plus Card member information
- acquisition of personal information of person making reservations over the internet
- distribution of our e-mail magazine to customers who register to receive it
- confirmation of identity of cardholder when adding points during use
- sending direct mailings and e-mail magazines to customers who register to receive such items
- notification of accumulated points
- notification necessary for administering the membership system
The Miyako Hotels and Resorts website shall not, without the consent of the customer, use any customer's personal information for any purpose other than that for which such information was acquired.
