The Kaiyukan is one of the largest aquariums in the world, housing 14 tanks that recreate 10 ocean regions from around the Pacific Rim. The facility's central Pacific Ocean Tank is home to a pair of whale sharks, the biggest fish in the world, while the entire aquarium houses a total of 30,000 marine animals of 580 species.
