With easy access to many local sights, we offer the perfect base for travel in the Kansai area.

The Tennoji Miyako Hotel has superb access to public transport with a direct connection to Osaka Abenobashi station (Kintetsu Minami-Osaka Line), while JR Tennoji Station (Osaka Loop, Hanwa, and Yamatoji lines) and the subway (Midosuji and Tanimachi lines) are only a 5-minute walk away. This makes the hotel the perfect base from which to explore Osaka, Nara, Wakayama, and the wider Kansai region. The hotel stands next door to "ABENO HARUKAS", a popular spot, and is located in an area rich in attractions such as the Tsutenkaku Tower (the symbol of Osaka), Tennoji Zoo, Shin-Sekai, and Shitenno-ji Temple, where you can go on foot.

Tsutenkaku - the name means "tower that reaches to the heavens" - is a signature attraction of Osaka.

Built in 1956, the Tsutenkaku Tower is about 100 meters tall and is known for its statue of Billiken, the god of good luck, in the observatory on the 5th floor.

More than 100 years since its opening

The Tennoji Zoo opened in January 1915 as the third zoo in Japan. Having expanded considerably over the years, the zoo currently houses about 1,000 animals of 230 species in an area of 11 hectares. It has remained popular with locals as a place for recreation and learning, attracting more than 1.5 million visitors annually.

SpaWorld is a health spa with a variety of baths, swimming pools, and beauty salons.

Well known throughout Japan, Shitennoji was established by Prince Shotoku over 1,400 years ago.

It is a 15- to 20-minute walk from the hotel.
For a true local experience, visit on the 21st or 22nd, when the monthly temple fair is held and a range of stalls are set up in the grounds.

One of the largest aquariums in the world, the Kaiyukan reproduces the marine ecology of the Pacific Rim.

After passing through the tunnel-shaped "Aquagate", you will enter the huge Pacific Ocean tank, which is home to a 4.23-meter long whale shark that swims leisurely among schools of fish of various sizes, as well as 12 other tanks, each with a different theme. Be entranced by the mystical charm of the sea as you watch the marine residents of the aquarium. The surreal atmosphere of the Floating Jellyfish Area makes for a particularly magical experience.

Osaka Castle was the residence of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who built it as a base from which to unify Japan.

The main keep of Osaka Castle was built in 1583 by Hideyoshi Toyotomi. The keep has been burnt down and rebuilt several times over the course of its history having been destroyed during the Siege of Osaka, and burnt down in a great fire at the time of the Meiji Restoration. The current main keep is the second complete reconstruction and dates from 1931.
The museum inside the castle and the magnificent outer stone walls are particularly impressive, while the observatory on the top floor affords sweeping views of the entire city.

The park was built on the occasion of the 1987 Tennoji Exposition

The park is dotted with historic sites such as Chausuyama Hill and the house-shaped gate of the former Kuroda Clan's rice storehouse. Take in the beauty of the seasons in the Keitakuen Garden or the botanical green house and enjoy this urban oasis that brims with water and greenery.
